The Inside Scoop

When I called our agency over the last year, usually they would say something about October, 05 being a weird month.

I think all of us forgot about the 'weird' while flying though the Oct. 05 LID's ,compared to the rest of the year. Sure, we heard snippets about confusion in Oct. for the last 17 months, but it seemed we were home free.

Here's a quote from someone with a Nov. 1 LID. To back this person up on her frustration, we were logged in, in 19 days. Quote: "I, along with a lot of people.... mailed our paperwork (dossier) to China 9/21/05 and were LID 11/1/05. My agency had people who sent their paperwork after me, but have earlier LIDs."

Our agency along with many large agency's, was affected by this 'weird'. But I will spare you all the specifics and just say, it has been given as an approximate that 300-400 people were being logged in per day at the end of Oct. b/c of some type of confusion at the CCAA. Which is why Sept. and Oct 2005 moved so quickly (hardly anyone logged in) and why only 2 days were sent last time...a bunch of people were logged in all at once.

'Weird!'

The question is, did they fix the problem in 2 days, or will we continue to endure this 'clog' until they refer everyone LID though Nov. 1, 2005. Your guess is as good as mine.
We should have a better idea when the next batch of referrals arrive.
